So, I bought this mic for a computer Spanish learning software program that records your voice. Surprisingly, it does a fabulous job. I don't know how it works for things like video chatting, but the sound is good, accurate, clear. Its also very simple to use. (You just plug it in). The length is a little short, but that's ok. It would be fine for a laptop, but if you're using a PC, you'd have to kinda tilt your head toward the CPU. If you're like some people and keep your CPU on the floor, this isn't the one for you. But if your CPU is right next to your monitor, its fine. It picks up your voice without a problem. SO, if you're looking for a mic, try this one first to see how you like it before going more expensive. I bought it from amazon for $0.01 with something like $3.00 shipping. It's worth trying out first for that price. Thanks.

The mike is supposed to be a plug-and-play but it did not work at all on my laptop. Also, the 6" length is inadequate unless the microphone is powerful. Otherwise, one needs to keep the microphone very close before it picks up any sound. I would not recommend buying this.

Fast shipping, perfect small microphone that I use for occasional Skypeing. Cannot beat for the price.

Very simple, just plug in and was ready to go; my laptop's camera and mic was set up for Vista and the mic did not work after I which to Windows 7. You need to be relatively close to the mic for it to pick you up, but its an easy and affordable fix.
