Not much else to say on this one, was easy setup, works like it should. Camera can put 1700+ pictures on it on high-res before it's filled up. Noticeable improvement over a 3 year old 2GB card for speed and performance (which you can see with the 60MB/s).
Very happy with the purchase, have a Cannon SLR camera.

I purchased this as my starter card when I bought my Nikon D300s. As I shoot in RAW, having a 8GB card at the minimum was required. It works great, is fast and provides more than enough space for a leisurely day shooting. In RAW format, it will hold 370+ photos, depending if I have or take any videos.
Would highly recommend and have purchased multiple other sized cards (2 - 2GB and 1 - 16GB)

Much faster write in camera than previous cards I've used. File transfer from camera to PC is not much faster than slower cards, but this is not based on any measurement. Considerably less than 8 gb available after formatting (around 7.4 gb). Well worth the price.

These are good for the 7D and therefore any high end digital camera which takes CF cards. The speed is good enough to shoot full HD 1080p video and 8frames fer second RAW files with the 7D. There are cheaper cards but I trust these. I only wish the high end cameras would switch to SDHC. Some are starting as of this date (8/28/10) so I assume CF cards will be phased out as it's old technology. They say CF cards are less likely to loose data and are more reliable, but that has changed. Most new high end cameras will soon switch to SD/CF combos then to SD completely.
These cards are good....if not great. I have no complaints about them. They seem robust and I am waiting for my second one to be delivered. I would suggest if your device shoots HD video you consider the 16GB version...but there are advantages to having 2 8GB cards.
For a lot of people....less expensive cards would be fine and of course....less expensive.
I would recommend them as a photography and video "enthusiast" They will let you push a device like the 7D to it's limits.

I am glad I bought this card for my Canon Rebel XTi. It performs great and a huge increase in shots per second....my only complaint is my own fault....I should have went bigger as I also have a Canon 7d which has massive file size pics in RAW, so I can only shoot 250 or so photos with the 7d...with the Rebel, I get 900+ shots (approx). Anyway, I highly recommend this card....great build and speed, but if you have a higher megapixel camera, go for at least 16GB....(I bought a 32GB after this one).
If you have a Rebel, or smaller megapixel camera....BUY THIS CARD!!! You won't be disappointed!
